Where this all started…

Hello I’m Tracey, and thank you for visiting my page. First a bit about me. I was retrenched in September 2016, after nearly 30 years with the same corporate organisation. I was lucky enough to immediately find work, in the same field, but with a privately owned business. I’m, officially a part time worker, which suits me well, although I seem to be working more hours, but I can’t complain, I love where I am now! I’ve always been interested in making things. In various clubs and groups that I’ve been involved in, I was always known as The Craft Girl! Origami has always interested me, but in 2017, I challenged myself to making the 1000 cranes. I was inspired to do it after going to Hiroshima in 2015. I completed the cranes in 8 months. After completing my personal challenge, I wondered what else I could make with cranes. I made myself a origami crane bonsai tree. After posting pictures on social media, I got requests for me to make some more. Subsequently, I got more and more interested in what I could do, and voila Kibō by Tracey was born. I currently have some frames available for purchase in three locations, but I have also done some custom pieces upon request. So, if you like my work and would be interested in a special unique picture, please contact me. I’m only too happy to discuss the possibilities with you. Tracey View all posts by kibobytracey
